Q、When did you first join INVINCIBLE? What did you train at INVINCIBLE? Have you ever thought of giving up? What was your motivation or support for training?
A、I started training at INVINCIBLE in September 2017. I started with Boxing and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Then I focused on fitness training. Of course tough training pushed me to breaking point, but the support and encouragement from my family, my friends and my coach kept me going. Mostly important my own believe has kept me staying on this path.
Q、When did you first compete in Spartan race? What was your first impression of Spartan race? Have you ever been stuck during the game? How did you overcome it eventually?
A、23 April 2018 was my first Spartanrace. I signed up for my age group. I had to finish all obstacles on my own. It was really hard for me. I felt helpless in my first game.
To be honest, I have competed in 23 Spartanraces. The races of 50 miles or 60 miles I always wanted to give up in the middle of the game... EVERYTIME. I started to doubt myself - why would I want to torture myself through all this? But it's half way completed already. Everything I had worked for would be unworthy if I give up now. I have trained so hard for this competition. In the end I always pushed myself to the finish line.
Q、How is your family and friends treating you competing in Spartanrace? Would you consider to train together with your kids?
A、They think I am crazy! They couldn't understand my ethusiasm. But now they have become my biggest fans! My two younger daughters also train at INVINCIBLE. They are little Spartan warriors.
Q、Is there more competitions you would join this year? What is your goal in 2019? What is your plan for the coming future?
A、I have signed up for Trifecta Weekend in New Taipei, Taiwan. I will travel to Xiamen, Hongkong, Johor Bahru in Malaysia, Suzhou and Japan for more Spartan races. My goal in 2019 is to complete Trifectax9. I have achieved Trifectax6. (for women's group in China Ling has the most Trifecta medals) In the coming year, in addition to the Spartan race I will also compete in a cross country race and marathon.
The Spartan race is truly a self-challenging and self-transcending game that you'll enjoy more and more once you've done it. You would only know how fun it is once you've tried it. Prepare yourself to succeed once you sign up for a Spartan race. I hope to see more Chinese flags in the future competitions.
