Four years ago we opened our first Shekou location with the same themed party and we thought we should stick to tradition and have a belated April's fool party on Saturday April 3.

Thank you everyone for attending and all the hard work that was put in.
A quick update on what's happened and what's to come.
We have signed here for 5yrs so we are here for a long time to come. Unfortunately there are some complications with the fire department laws concerning the whole building which has put a delay on the bathroom/shower renovations AND also the building of our own Ice Bath and Sauna! But for now the situation looks good and the bathroom should be finished in April and the sauna and ice bath will be done once the new passage per fire dept requirements is started. The heavy bag mounts haven't arrived yet, but we will have 12 punching bags in Shekou (they will be taken up and down to maximize useable space) The lockers are finally working, the big store room is fully packed and ready to start selling to you! So feel free to place your orders with us. Shekou now has a 5x5m boxing ring (plan to do a fight night in May!!!) There is a dedicated waiting area for parents and friends. The lighting has dramatically improved with custom lights we had made per our requirements. But the main thing about our gyms have always been how to maximize the useable space and training area, a very long straight padded wall and huge matted are with competition grade BJJ Mats. So that's the intro of the NEW Shekou Gym.
When we prepare for a speech we always consider what message we want to carry over. I thought about this a very long time. The main points to choose from were:
1. Humble beginnings and the hard work that got us here.
2. The amazing results - SZ boxing gym of the year and 2 time #1 ranked BJJ team in China. Considering we started from 0, this is really a tremendous achievement.
3. Brag about our club culture, how all our coaches are emotionally invested in their programs/students. I honestly believe this is the best place to train in ASIA.
4. Speak about our coaching team and their heroic efforts/results over the years and also personal achievements/CV.
5. Talk about the management team and how the work super long hours, always dealing with troubles with a smile on their face. The heroes/heroines behind the scenes.
6. Thank my wife for her unwavering support. Even at the cost of family time and understanding my vision even though its not the road to the fastest or easiest money. But rather a meaningful life.
7. How much our brand, merchandise and reputation has grown and matured.
But in the end I decided to go back to our roots. I choose to talk about Invincible. Why did we choose the name Invincible? Having an Invincible heart isn't about winning or losing. It's not about who is weaker or stronger. It's about never giving up. About taking every challenge or setback on the chin, getting your ass up off the floor, dusting yourself off and just keep going. No one was born fearless or brave like a warrior. These things are cultivated. It's the small things and the daily choices. That extra round of sparring, those extra minutes doing bear crawls, showing up when it's not convenient, showing up when you have excuses but in your heart you know you can give more. That ALL adds up over time and make you tougher, stronger, better and eventually give you an Invincible Heart!
So my speech is this. Never give up. Never back down. Never forget.... we are INVINCIBLE! My toast is to you. Team Invincible and on the journey that's still ahead of us! Cheers!
